France never really turned up. Lamine Yamal was fouled in the box by Lucas Digne in the first half, Mikel Oyarzabal rolled in the penalty, and any hope of a French comeback disappeared just before the hour when Pedro Porro finished off a lovely one-two to make it 2-0.
